PBSAP Investment Platform
The PBSAP M&E and Investment Platform was developed to monitor the implementation of the Philippine Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (PBSAP). Its primary goal is to track progress, monitor funding sources and amounts, and provide feedback on the financial resources contributing to biodiversity targets. The platform also promotes transparency and accountability in biodiversity investments.
Project Overview
As a UI/UX designer, my primary goal for this web application was to showcase and promote biodiversity projects across the Philippines. The platform is designed to enhance transparency in project reporting for both government and non-government agencies, while also attracting potential investors to support these vital initiatives.
Design Process
Our design process began with in-depth research and requirements gathering. We held workshops and discussions with key stakeholders to understand user needs and system requirements, while also analyzing the existing PBSAP framework and evaluation matrices. This initial phase gave us a clear understanding of the project’s objectives and the specific needs of its users.
Next, we focused on information architecture, creating use case diagrams and data flow diagrams to map out system elements and user interactions. This phase included designing a process flow for national and regional PBSAP evaluations, ensuring that all aspects of the platform were well-structured, intuitive, and user-friendly.
With a solid foundation in place, we moved on to wireframing and prototyping. We created wireframes for key pages, including the homepage, target dashboard, PH map, project details, and user account management. These prototypes helped us visualize user journeys and interactions, setting the stage for a smooth, seamless user experience.

Reflections
The PBSAP M&E and Investment Platform showcases a successful integration of technology in environmental conservation.
